Recreational Soccer

COUNTY SOCCER

Description: The Amherst Youth Soccer League Association (AYSA) recreation program is open to all youth residing in or attending school in Amherst, Ohio.  Our recreational program is run through the Lorain County Soccer League and is a non-competitive soccer league open to children aged six and up.

Season Structure: We have both a fall and spring season. When registering your child in the fall, you are registering for both seasons. In general, the fall season kicks off in August and wraps up in October. Spring season kicks off in April and wraps up in June. Each season there will be weekly practices and approximately 8 games.

Practices: During the season, your child will generally have two practices during the week in the evenings. Practices are usually an hour and a half.

Games: Games will be played against other cities within the county as well as fellow Amherst teams when in the same division. Games will be approximately one hour in duration and are typically held on Saturdays but may occasional be scheduled for evening play during the week. All home games are played at DePaola Fields with away games at other communities’ fields.

Volunteering: All teams are coached by parent volunteers, and we encourage you to consider volunteering to help. No prior experience required and we offer coaching clinics and resources to help. The success of our league is dependent upon parental involvement.

Registration: Registration is now open for our 24/25 season for both players and coaches. Please use the correct link below to register:
