Description: Amherst Travel Soccer participates in the Ohio Travel Soccer League (OHTSL). This is a competitive youth soccer league for both boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 15. The objective of Amherst Travel soccer is to offer a very competitive level of soccer while still promoting long term development of players within our program. Travel soccer gives our kids an opportunity to challenge themselves by playing against some other high-level teams throughout Northeast Ohio. Travel soccer games are typically played on Sundays during the Spring and Fall seasons.

Season Structure: We have both a fall and spring season. When registering your child in the fall, you are registering for both seasons. In general, the fall season kicks off in August and wraps up in October. Spring season kicks off in April and wraps up in June. Each season there will be weekly practices and approximately 8 games. Travel teams may also play in tournaments which will be organized by team coaches. 

Practices: During the season, your child will generally have two practices during the week in the evenings. Practices are usually an hour and a half. 

Games: Games will be played against other cities within OHTSL. Games will vary in length but will typically be scheduled for Sundays but may occasional be scheduled for evening play during the week. Please see your game schedule for field locations. 

Volunteering: All teams are coached by parent volunteers, and we encourage you to consider volunteering to help. If you are interested in coaching a travel team, please reach out to our travel director. 

Registration: Registration is now open for our 24/25 season for both players and coaches. As travel teams are determined based on interest and the results of tryouts, each player who made a team will receive a link to the registration site via email.
